Parenting Resources

For those families who usually have a weekly home visit, we wanted to make sure and have a space here where you could get resources and ideas of how to keep building a strong relationship with your child. We also know that parenting can be hard during the best of times, so we have tips on normal child development, how to deal with different behaviors and how to positively support your child as they learn how to deal with different emotions.

Social-Emotional Wellbeing

While we do not physically have children in our classrooms, we hope to ease some of the stress our community is experiencing.  Here you will find updated resources to support your child’s social-emotional needs, provide guidance on how to respond to challenging behaviors, how to talk to your child, healthy screen time options and the reminder to be good, kind and compassionate with yourself as well, we are all in this together.

For families of children with disabilities or IFSPs who are experiencing a suspension in services, we will be providing updated information on how services may look during this time.  For families that were receiving mental health support, either through the Morrison Incredible Years workshop or directly connected with one of our Early Childhood Mental Health consultants, we will be providing updated information on how they will be continuing with remote services and their info is below.

Neighborhood House works very closing with mental health consultants to provide support to all children in our programs. If you have questions about your child’s behavior or your child’s social/emotional health, please contact your Early Childhood Mental Health Consultants:
